Anberlin: The Final Tour

This past weekend I had the chance to see two of Anberlin's final three New York City shows and it was awesome!

I first listened to Anberlin as a teenager and I have been listening ever since. They're music isn't only good instrumentally, but the message is also very powerful.

I'm glad that I was able to come out and sing along to some of my favorite songs — especially my overall favorite "Paperthin Hymn".

I just want one more chance to put my arms in fragile hands

All the guys are amazingly talented and go crazy on stage — and in the crowd as well.

Thursday's show was great but Monday's show would prove to be even greater!

On Monday, it was a special show — Anberlin would be playing their 2007 release, Cities, in it's entirety. This was one and only time they were ever going to do that — exciting!

When Anberlin hit the stage the crowd went nuts!

Cities is one of my favorite albums — possibly my favorite album by Anberlin. Even though I love fast and energetic song, my two favorite songs of that album are "The Unwinding Cable Car" and "Inevitable" which happen to be two of the more mellow songs in the album.

Now comes the best part of the show; after playing "(*Fin)" they announced that they were going to play their 2005 release, Never Take Friendship Personal, in it's entirety and immediately went into the title-track.

Needless to say, the crowd went extra crazy!

I was really glad I had the chance to go to this show and listen to some of my favorite Anberlin songs. I was not expecting to hear "Paperthin Hymn" on Monday so it was a pleasant surprise to hear them play my favorite song.

Is this the end of everything we’ve known?

I must say that these two amazing shows were a couple of the best shows I've been to.

Thank you for 12 years of awesome music!
